We are not licensed in Alaska, Hawaii, or New York. If you live in one of those three states, we can’t write coverage for you, and we’d rather tell you that up front than take your time. Your own state’s department of insurance can point you toward agents who are licensed where you live.
How to Verify Our License
You should never take an agent’s word for their own licensing, including ours. Insurance licenses are public record, and you can check them yourself:
- National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) — look up NPN 20132557 at nipr.com. NIPR maintains licensing information reported by state regulators.
- State Based Systems (SBS) Licensee Lookup — a public lookup showing license number, NPN, license type, and status for participating states, at sbs.naic.org.
- Your state’s department of insurance — every state runs a free public lookup for licensed agents.
If anything you find differs from what’s on this page, the state regulator’s record is the one that counts.
Being Licensed Somewhere Isn’t the Same as Every Product Being Available
One thing worth understanding before you compare quotes: a license lets us do business in your state, but it doesn’t mean every carrier and every product is available there. Carriers file their products state by state, and what one company offers in Missouri it may not offer in Vermont. Rates, benefit types, waiting periods, and eligibility rules all vary the same way.
